Setting Up an Item Definition in Business Central
Unlike your personal items, business property is covered under commercial or rental insurance. This includes furniture, appliances and other tangible items in the workplace that are used solely for company purposes. Business property insurance can also cover the items you take on business trips, such as a laptop or a custom USB drive.사업아이템
The item definition page is where you can customize how Business Central tracks your inventory and non-inventory items. It lets you set up the following:
Item class
The number of item classes that you can use depends on the type of items your business uses. These classes determine how an item is tracked and the functions that can be performed on them. For example, different types of inventory items may need to have different coding schemes.
Item category group
The default item category is automatically suggested by the system based on the sales document type, the item category group of the material and the higher-level item category. For instance, if you select the sales document type TA and the material has item category group NORM, the system suggests item category TAN.
Item status
The status controls whether or not certain partner functions are available at the item level. For example, the status determines whether you can enter payment terms at header level or at the item level.솔솥
Item value
The item value is the amount that is recorded in the item’s accounting book. It is passed to the item’s header totals, which is useful for statistics. The status determines whether or not the value is cumulated or if it is decomposed into the unit of measure and quantity.
