The thread lift is an excellent nonsurgical solution for addressing facial skin laxity, restoring a more youthful appearance. The procedure is very similar to a traditional facelift, but there is no cutting or stitches involved. This allows patients to recover faster than a surgical facelift with the same results.

The NovaThreads and Silhouette InstaLift threads are both FDA approved for the purpose of lifting facial tissue. The treatment lasts between 45 minutes to an hour, and involves minimal discomfort.

During the procedure, a fine needle or cannula will be used to insert the threads underneath your skin. You will feel a pulling sensation during this process, but it is not painful. Swelling and bruising can occur, but these symptoms should resolve quickly. Our most popular facial rejuvenation procedure, Soft Lift combines the relaxation effects of cosmetic neuromodulators with the benefits of dermal filler to provide a “liquid facelift.” This is our best nonsurgical option for revitalizing the skin.

The treatment involves inserting a series of small, soft, polydioxanone sutures called “threads.” These threads tighten the skin by stimulating collagen production. This skin tightening and collagen stimulation provides dramatic results without the associated risks or recovery time of surgery.

The Soft Lift treatment is performed in the comfort of our office using a local anesthetic. The procedure typically takes less than an hour. After the procedure, we recommend a few days of rest. Exilis is FDA-cleared for skin toning and tightening and works well on various body areas including the neck, jowls, abdomen, flanks, arms and thighs. Exilis uses radiofrequency technology to penetrate deep into the skin and underlying tissues, which heats and shrinks fat cells and tightens lax skin.
