Hair Transplant

A hair transplant is a surgical procedure that moves healthy, growing hairs from areas of thick growth to bald or thinning areas. During a hair transplant, doctors remove a strip of hair-bearing scalp from the back of your head (called the donor area), and then stitch it closed. The doctor may also use a scalpel to make small holes or slits in the bald or thinning areas of your scalp, then gently place individual healthy hairs into those cuts. In a single treatment session, hundreds or even thousands of healthy hairs may be transplanted.서면모발이식

To improve the cosmetic results of a hair transplant, it is important to choose an experienced surgeon. The surgeon should be licensed by your state’s board of medical examiners, and have a good track record in performing the procedure. In addition, the surgeon should be willing to discuss his or her approach to the procedure with you and answer any questions that you might have.

Before a hair transplant, the surgeon will clean your scalp and inject medicine to numb the back of your head. This will make it less painful during the procedure. You can watch TV or listen to music, and the doctor will give you medicine to help relieve any discomfort you feel.

After the surgery, you will need to avoid any activities that can pull on your hair, and take special care to protect your grafts. Your doctor will provide you with instructions on how to care for your grafts, and a spray that can be used to help the hair grow faster and stronger.

The type of hair transplant you have will depend on how much hair loss or thinning you have, and what kind of cosmetic results you want. The type of follicles in your hair can also affect the quality of your results. For example, if you have curly hair, it is usually harder to manage and shape than straight hair, and it can be more likely to fall out after the surgery.

There are two main types of hair transplant procedures: follicular unit strip surgery (FUSS) and follicular unit extraction (FUE). During FUE, the surgeon makes tiny holes or slits in your scalp where each healthy hair will go. During FUSS, the doctor takes a 6- to 10-inch strip of hair-bearing skin from the back of your head (called the “donor” area), and then stitches it closed.

Both procedures can create noticeable scars, but FUE has a more natural-looking result because the scars are so small. The doctor can also make the scars blend in with your surrounding hair more easily.

There is a possibility that some of your new hair will fall out after the surgery, but the doctor can usually predict this and plan accordingly. It is also possible that you will need a second procedure called a “touch-up” to further improve the results of your hair transplant. In most cases, the new hair will grow in very quickly.부산탈모병원
